In the Mühlenmuseum (mill museum) in the accurately reconstructed Mäulesmühle you can inform yourself about old craftsmanship. Exhibits restaurated with love document impressively the history of the mill and the technical aspects of a miller´s craft. Heart of the museum is the fully functioning mill work from the year 1819. You can inform yourself about the way of the grain to the ready bread and you can get an overview of the most important tools in a mill - for example a trap for the miller´s hairy enemies - mice.

The local museum of one district has become a museum of the whole city. With a variety of exhibitions, with lectures and discussions, movies, festivals and a forum for current subjects of the township. On the ground floor and on the first floor there are exhibitions about urban and native historical subjects every year. There will also be added a permanent exhibition starting in may 2008: On the second floor of the city museum you will get an impression of the history of the districts, of the specifics of Leinfelden-Echterdingen and of the uniqueness of the Filderregion, by participating in a tour which lasts 30 minutes.
