The Stäffele City-Appartements cater to anyone who finds a hotel too expensive in the long run and renting their own apartment too much hassle: project staff, newcomers to Stuttgart during their probationary period, seminar participants or business travelers on extended stays. The 25 fully furnished apartments for one to two people are located on a quiet side street in Stuttgart’s west, around a three-minute walk from the S-Bahn and just a few minutes from Königstraße. Depending on the type (approx. 15 to 45 m²), they have either a private kitchenette or access to a shared kitchen on the same floor. All apartments have a shower/toilet, TV, safe, telephone and free Wi-Fi, with laundry and cleaning services provided once a week. In addition to overnight stays, monthly flat rates including utilities are available. Dining is taken care of: the long-established Stuttgarter Stäffele restaurant is in the same building, with the gin bar and steakhouse ampulle just around the corner.

The tasteful pharmacy furnishings from the Black Forest, over 110 years old, give „ampulle“ in Stuttgart’s west its distinctive atmosphere. The secret of the dry-aged beef lies in the special dry-aging process and the selection of the right cattle breed: whether Hereford Irish Prime, Nebraska Angus, Tomahawk from Canada or Wagyu, the steaks matured in the freestanding aging cabinet are cooked on an 800-degree grill.

The “Stuttgarter Stäffele”, with its authentic homemade Swabian specialties, is as much a part of Stuttgart as the Fernsehturm and the Wilhelma. Since 1971, it has occupied a house over a hundred years old in Stuttgart’s west, seating 55 people in a rustic setting. Four venues that stand out from the crowd: the kleine Stäffele is ideal for groups of up to 30 people, while the historic wine cellar seats 40 for leisurely wine tastings accompanied by Swabian food.
